We have safely arrived to Nairobi and so far, so good.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>What a relief to get off a plane after 17 hours of flying time and see our beloved luggage turning around the conveyor belt.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</span>We have spent most of the morning here sleeping in our hotel room trying to make up for lost sleep hours.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>For the remainder of the day we have run errands including getting our phone set up and mailing a package to ourselves from a truck at the side of the road... how bizarre.
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Our cab driver (Walter) assured us this was the cheapest and safest way to mail... the cheap part was correct so we will have to wait and see if we receive the parcel in Homa Bay in 2 days.

Other than that, the weather has been warm and comfortable as we have been eating and drinking at the side of the pool in our hotel.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Most of the hotel has been booked up by a group of Italian film makers who have been here 2 months already.
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>It is strange to see string bikinis around the pool in such a reserved culture.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The staff at the hotel are dressed in 3 piece suits and long sleeved tunics while the guests wear practically nothing.

We will fly out to Kisumu tomorrow morning first thing and are really excited about meeting with Mr. Okidi there.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>I have already spoken to him this morning as he was preparing to leave and pick us up... transportation is always an issue in Rongo.
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>His borrowed truck fell through this morning leaving him scrambling to find another.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>He assures me he will be at the airport in some form of vehicle to get us.
<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>It is an amazing thing to live life in faith and trust... it appears to be the only way things work here.</span></p>
