[Kwg-list] KWG is on Facebook! 5K Fun Run - Volunteers needed!

Hello KWG members.

*FACEBOOK:*

As part of our initiative to expand to a larger network, we'd like to invite
all of our listserv members to join the KWG group of Facebook. Social
networking is the newest and best way to reach a large audience so if you
are an active member of facebook, please search for "Kenya Working Group"
and request permission to join. Once you have joined, you will have the
ability to spread more information about KWG and our upcoming events to your
friends networks. Looking forward to have you all join!


*5KM FUN RUN:*

Also, our annual 5KM Fun Run is taking place on September 12th at the
Kortwright Centre for Conservation in Woodbridge. We are looking for
volunteers, sponsors and of course participants.

- *Volunteers* are required for taking set up, take down, registration,
cheer squad and marking the route. If you would like to volunteer in this
capacity, please email me at rajansuppiah at gmail.com.

- *Sponsors *are needed for prizes! if you work for or know people who work
for a company that can provide prizes, we really need your help. We need
prizes for runners (i.e. gift certificates, electronic items, etc...), so if
you have any contacts, please let me know as well. We can provide you with
an ASK Letter as a formality to ask for donatons.

- *Participants!!* the more the merrier! Registration is done online at
www.kenyaworkinggroup.org. Minimum $30 registration, Pledges and donations
are welcome! Pledge forms can be found online as well.

Please spread the word. We had a great run last year and earned over $2500.
We are looking to top that this year and we need our members' help to do so.
