Hello Everyone,

A few goings on:

1. Several of our group are planning to celebrate Jamhuri Day on December
12th with the Kenyan Community of Ontario.  This is a day in celebration of
Kenya's independence as a nation and will also serve as our end of year
holiday party.  We hope that you will consider attending too.  I have
attached the invitation which provides more details so that we can whoop it
up together.

2. Mr. Okidi, the DSP Coordinator in Kenya has said that he will be
providing a brief report regarding children who have been sponsored by our
group and the upcoming school fees that will be due at the end of the month
for school starting in January.  This report will be sent to us within the
next two weeks. We ask that those people who have committed to sponsoring a
child have your donated money in by Wednesday, December 30th so that there
will be no delay in the start of school for these children.

3. The ICDR is very excited about the upcoming Gala Event on Thursday,
January 28th and the Symposia the following day on Friday January 29th,
2010.  With all of the working groups participation in the organization of
these events, we can truly celebrate a "world of opportunities".  Please
also see the attached "Save the Date" flyer and mark your calendars for that
evening.  Tickets go on sale tomorrow for World Disability Day.
