This is an invitation to participate in a special opportunity for ICDR
members to meet with Professor Jerome Bickenbach on Tuesday June 16th from
3-4pm to discuss his role with disability and rehabilitation at WHO, new
insights on the Convention, and to exchange ideas about research.

Professor and Scholar at Queen's University, Kingston, ON. He is also the
Queen's Research Chair in the Department of Philosophy. His interests
include Disability Studies & Ethics, Universal Design, International Human
Rights.

ethical, philosophical, and legal issues in disability policy. His work
addresses the need to conceptualize disability and related notions, to
establish priorities for intervention and support within the category of
disability as well as between it and other needs, and to devise legal
